1. Accommodation Cancellations

2. Experience & Excursion Cancellations

Experiences and excursions often require preparation, scheduling, transportation, staffing, and minimum participant coordination.

Because of this:

  • Last-minute cancellations may not be refundable

  • Shared tours depend on participant availability and coordination

Certain experiences offered by Pico Duarte Ecolodge operate using a shared-tour system with minimum participant requirements.

Please note:

  • Shared experiences may be canceled, modified, or rescheduled if the required minimum number of participants is not reached

  • Shared pricing and discounts are only available once participation requirements are met

  • Availability and pricing may change as additional participants join or cancel

If a shared experience cannot proceed due to insufficient participation, guests may be offered:

  • A rescheduled date

  • An alternative experience

  • A private experience at adjusted pricing

  • A partial or full refund, depending on circumstances


4. Weather and Safety-Related Cancellations

Guest safety is extremely important to us.

Certain outdoor activities and excursions may be affected by:

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Unsafe terrain conditions

  • Transportation issues

  • Natural events

  • Government advisories or restrictions

In such cases, Pico Duarte Ecolodge reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify activities for safety reasons.

When possible, guests may be offered:

  • Alternative experiences

  • Credit toward future bookings

  • Partial or full refunds

Refund decisions may vary depending on costs already incurred and the nature of the activity.


5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may not be provided in situations including, but not limited to:

  • Failure to attend a booked activity or reservation

  • Arriving late for scheduled departures

  • Voluntary early departure

  • Guest dissatisfaction unrelated to service failure

  • Violations of property or safety rules

  • Incorrect booking information provided by the guest

Approved refunds may be processed through:

  • Original payment method where applicable

Refund processing times may vary depending on payment provider policies and banking systems.

Any transfer fees, currency conversion fees, or third-party transaction costs may be deducted where applicable.

  • Transportation disruptions

  • Government restrictions

  • Public health emergencies

  • Civil disturbances

In such situations, refunds, credits, or rescheduling options may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
